Healthcare Leaders to Congress and Administration: Improve the Value-Based Care Movement

On January 25, Premier, along with 120+ industry-leading organizations (representing clinicians, employers, labor, hospitals, pharmacists, consumer groups and payers), released a letter to Congressional leadership and the Trump Administration urging them to back 10 policy principles that will build momentum behind value-based care and continue to advance solutions that incent providers to take accountability for population health. 
 
The letter was released via this press release and during a policy briefing on Capitol Hill. Moderated by Blair Childs, speakers included the Honorable Michael O. Leavitt, Chairman and Co-Founder, Leavitt Partners, three-term Governor of Utah and Former U.S. Secretary of HHS; Kevin Klobucar, executive vice president of healthcare value at Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan; Stanley Stead, MD, MBA, CEO and founder, Stead Health Group, Inc.; Nick W. Turkal, MD, president and CEO, Aurora Health Care; and Bill Kramer, Executive Director, National Policy, Pacific Business Group on Health.
